Refugees Welcome Pledge
The Refugees Welcome Pledge calls on candidates in the 2017 General Election to remember the importance of refugee protection in debates about immigration and to support the UK’s proud tradition of welcoming refugees and helping them rebuild their lives here.
The Refugees Welcome Pledge:
I pledge to respect the importance of refugee protection, including in wide-ranging debates about immigration, and, if elected, to uphold the proud tradition throughout the UK of welcoming people forced to flee war and persecution and helping them rebuild their lives.
Parliamentary candidates are most likely to respond to local people whose votes they need to get elected. So it is very important that they are aware that people like you in their constituency want Britain to remain a place of safety for people forced from their homes by conflict and persecution.
Ask your candidates to sign the Refugees Welcome Pledge.
This action will take you less than 5 minutes and could make a real difference to the lives and futures of refugees.
